  • Patent number: 11758958
Abstract: A method of combining an auxiliary with a garment includes providing a garment that has an elastic strap attached to it, so that the garment and strap can cooperate to hold the garment in place on a person wearing the garment. The strap has a length with a perforation positioned along the strap length. Tension is applied to stretch the strap to enlarge the perforation, and a solid item that is tethered to an auxiliary is inserted into the stretched perforation. Releasing the tension on the strap so the enlarged perforation resumes an unenlarged size retains the tethered solid item and its tethered auxiliary attached to the strap.

  • Patent number: 9854902
Abstract: A skirt for a broom that has a handle, a head and bristles extending from the head with a connector on the head includes a fabric having properties selected to be attractive to dirt. The fabric has a size at least twice the area of one major face of the bristles of the broom and has connectors complementary to the connectors on the broom head, so the fabric may be wrapped over the bristles and fastened to the broom head by engagement of the fabric connectors with the connectors on the broom head. The connectors on the skirt are typically “loop-type” hook and loop fasteners, so they can engage “hook-type” hook and loop fasteners on the broom head.

  • Patent number: 9345315
Abstract: An apparatus for application to a broom that includes a broom head provides enhanced cleaning. A skirt of polar fleece fabric has a yoke long enough so that one end of the polar fleece fabric laps the other end when wrapped around the broom head. Hook and loop fasteners on the yoke where one end laps the other end enable the skirt to remain wrapped around the broom head. A plurality of strips that are at least one to three inches longer than the height of the broom head and bristles depend from the yoke. The skirt of polar fleece fabric yoke and strips are conveniently made of a single piece of fabric. A fabric with a stretchable direction transverse to a non-stretchable direction works best if the yoke is substantially parallel to the non-stretchable direction.
