    Abstract: An improved walker in which a gate which is pivoted on one rear leg for movement from an open position to a closed position at which it engages a fitting carried by the other rear leg, supports a seat for pivotal movement from a raised inoperative position to a lowered operative position. An element operative in the lowered position of the seat prevents the gate from moving to an open position. Interengageable elements operative in the open position of the gate prevent the seat from being lowered.
