  • Publication number: 20080082366
Abstract: A system employs a workflow engine and rules engine to automatically create, activate, discontinue, or perform other clinical orders functions without requiring a clinical user's interaction to initiate the orders. This facilitates advanced clinical workflow order automation, allowing to implement treatment protocols as automated system processes that improve clinical system processes efficiencies and the quality of patient care.

  • Publication number: 20060059019
Abstract: A physician order entry user interface system facilitates resolution of a problem associated with an order for a treatment to be administered to a patient. A user interface system for use in managing orders for providing treatment for a patient, includes a display processor for initiating generation of data representing a display image. The display image includes, a first user selectable image element indicating an order for a particular treatment to be provided to a particular patient is to be retained and a second user selectable image element indicating the order for the particular treatment to be provided to the particular patient is to be revoked. An order processor updates stored order representative records to indicate the order for the particular treatment to be provided to the particular patient is cancelled in response to user selection of the second user selectable image element.

  • Patent number: 6239189
Abstract: A radiation-polymerizable composition contains at least one radiation curable acrylate resin oligomer prepared by reacting an alkoxylated polyol with a first acid component which includes an ethylenically unsaturated carboxylic acid; and a rheology modifier prepared by reacting a diepoxide with a second acid component which includes an ethylenically unsaturated carboxylic acid or reactive derivative thereof in the presence of a polyamide based on a polymerized fatty acid. The ethylenically unsaturated carboxylic acids of the first and second acid components are preferably acrylic acid or methacrylic acids. The diepoxide is preferably a diglycidyl ether such as bisphenol A. Colorants such as pigments or dyes optionally may be incorporated into the composition to form a printing ink which is curable by ultraviolet (UV) or electron beam radiation.
