  • Publication number: 20020018909
Abstract: A metallic sheet with an aluminum coating, the coating having an internal layer of iron/aluminum/silicon alloys, and an external layer, thicker, of an aluminum-based phase and secondarily of phases in the form of needies or elongated lamellae. The projection of the length of all needles or lamellae in a direction perpendicular to the plane of the external layer is less than the thickness of this layer. This structure, which is obtained by a thermal treatment of the external layer at a temperature of 570-660° C. notably for less than 15 sec, considerably decreases the risks of cracking.
