  • Publication number: 20160335282
Abstract: The present invention describes a system and method of managing digital content received from content providers and for facilitating access to the digital content to many subscribers. The method includes receiving from the content providers incoming feed files where each feed file contains information describing the content. The method determines if the feed files are approved by applying a template to the feed files and also receives request files from the subscribers where each request file contains search criteria. The method provides one or more answer files in response to the request files where each answer file identifies feed files that meet the search criteria of a corresponding request file. The answer files are used to access or permit access to digital content on the web. In addition, a graphical user interface is described to manage, edit, promote and delete the feed files provided to the system.

  • Patent number: 9497529
Abstract: An electronic device may be provided with a microphone in a microphone port. A shield may cover a microelectromechanical systems microphone device on a microphone substrate. An opening in the microphone substrate may form a sound port for the microphone. The microphone port may be formed by perforations in the microphone substrate or other layers such as a flexible printed circuit layer, a sheet metal layer, a layer of adhesive, a flexible polymer carrier layer in an adhesive tape, or an electronic device housing. The perforations may be sufficiently small to help resist the intrusions of foreign material such as liquid and dirt into the sound port of the microphone. Larger openings may be formed in other structures such as an electronic device housing. The larger openings may serve as sound passageways for the microphone port while being sufficiently large to resist clogging.

  • Patent number: 9460224
Abstract: An element in a fetched file (a file received from the web server in response to an HTTP request) can be mapped to the source code that generated it and vice versa. When code is compiled at the web server, calls can be executed that emit HTML that includes metadata that maps a snippet of code back to a particular source file and to a particular location in the source file. The HTML can include injected symbols that specify that the information from a particular start position for a particular character length in the HTML comes from a particular start position to a particular end position in the source file.

  • Publication number: 20160283038
Abstract: A system and method for autonomously scanning a sensor panel device is disclosed. A sensor panel processor can be disabled after a first predetermined amount of time has elapsed without the sensor panel device sensing any events. One or more system clocks can also be disabled to conserve power. While the processor and one or more system clocks are disabled, the sensor panel device can periodically autonomously scan the sensor panel for touch activity. If one or more results from the autonomous scans exceed a threshold, the sensor panel device re-enables the processor and one or more clocks to actively scan the sensor panel. If the threshold is not exceeded, the sensor panel device continues to periodically autonomously scan the sensor panel without intervention from the processor. The sensor panel device can periodically perform calibration functions to account for any drift that may be present in the system.

  • Publication number: 20160260050
Abstract: A method for processing packages is provided. A package is received at an intermediate shipping site and a delivery authorization status corresponding to the package is determined based on a threshold of some characteristic of the package. The package is delivered if the authorization status is that delivery is acceptable and the package is not delivered if the authorization status is that delivery is not acceptable. The acceptability of the package for delivery is determined by a response that an addressee provides to an electronic message notification of package availability. The electronic response preferably contains some authenticating information regarding the package.

  • Publication number: 20160239460
Abstract: Systems and methods of implementing server architectures that can facilitate the servicing of memory components in computer systems. The systems and methods employ nonvolatile memory/storage modules that include nonvolatile memory (NVM) that can be used for system memory and mass storage, as well as firmware memory. The respective NVM/storage modules can be received in front or rear-loading bays of the computer systems. The systems and methods further employ single, dual, or quad socket processors, in which each processor is communicably coupled to at least some of the NVM/storage modules disposed in the front or rear-loading bays by one or more memory and/or input/output (I/O) channels. By employing NVM/storage modules that can be received in front or rear-loading bays of computer systems, the systems and methods provide memory component serviceability heretofore unachievable in computer systems implementing conventional server architectures.
