    Abstract: A computerized method and system are disclosed for distributing a file opened on a first computing device. The first computing device identifies and saves the file to a file-download location; starts a file-distribution service for downloading the copy of the file from the file-download location; generates a URL indicating the file-download location; generates a presentation, such as a QR code, of the URL; and presents the generated presentation, e.g., on a display thereof. At least a second computing device acquires the QR code; obtains the URL from the obtained QR code, and uses the URL to download the file from the file-download location.
