  • Patent number: 8876198
Abstract: A device and a method for fastening, clamping, or adjusting a molding part to a body-mounted part are provided. To allow the absorption of large tensile forces, a tensioning element designed as a tension strut is provided, which includes at least one oblong element made of fiber-reinforced plastic. The length of the tensioning element is adjustable between two end positions via a bracing device.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: February 17, 2011
Date of Patent: November 4, 2014
Assignee: Dr. Ing. h.c.F. Porsche Aktiengesellschaft
Inventors: Thiemo Adolf Erb, Norbert Schwan, Ralf Habrik
  • Patent number: 8409387
Abstract: A process for producing hollow fiber-reinforced components includes impregnating fibers with an impregnating material, preorienting the impregnated fibers, passing the pre-oriented fibers through a heated extrusion die to cure the impregnating material and to form a hollow profile and detaching segments from the hollow profile. The process further includes placing a separating film between the impregnated fibers at one position of the hollow profile prior to curing. The separating film prevents the fibers from bonding as the impregnating material is cured. A segment produced in this way is swung open at the position of the separating film. A subassembly is positioned inside the swung-open segment and then adjacent portions of the segment are permanently bonded together.

  • Patent number: 7766412
Abstract: A movable vehicle roof has a plurality of segments which are movable relative to one another, in particular are displaceable and/or pivotable, and of which at least one has a core containing a filling structure forming cavities. The filling structure core is provided with a retaining part which engages around it in some regions at least on one side and, together with lateral elements disposed on it as a single piece, forms at least one intersecting point with the top framework.

  • Publication number: 20080067831
Abstract: A convertible has a top which can be opened and, in the closed state, has a headliner facing an interior of the convertible. The novel top has a rear window frame and at least two separate roof sections which, when the top is closed, are placed in front of the rear window frame in the direction of travel and, during the opening and closing of the top, can be moved in relation to each other and relative to the convertible via a top linkage. A respective, separate and self-supporting lining element which faces the interior of the convertible and which each forms a section of the headliner is disposed on each roof section.
