  • Patent number: 10791314
Abstract: A particular implementation accesses a disparity value for a particular location in a picture, the disparity value indicating disparity with respect to a particular resolution. The particular implementation modifies the accessed disparity value based on multiple resolutions to produce a modified disparity value. Another implementation accesses a disparity value for a particular location in a picture, the picture having a particular resolution, and the disparity value indicating disparity with respect to another resolution that is different from the particular resolution and that is based on multiple resolutions. • Publication number: 20190110028
Abstract: The invention pertains to a method for correcting aberration affecting light-field data (LF) acquired by a sensor of a plenoptic device, said method comprising: determining (S2) a plurality of subsets of light-field data (Sub_LF) among said light-field data (LF), as a function of a physical and/or geometrical property of said light-field data, said property being a discrimination criterion associated with said aberration, projecting (S3) at least some of said subsets of light field data (Sub_LF) into respective refocused sub-pictures (Sub_Pict), as a function of: ?spatial information about a focalization plane and, ?a respective disparity dispersion (D(W)) resulting from said aberration, obtaining a corrected picture (Cor_Pict) from a sum (S4) of said refocused sub-pictures (Sub_Pict).

  • Publication number: 20180007355
Abstract: A method for transmitting video content segments includes providing Low Frame Rate (LFR) and High Frame Rate (HFR) encoding mode designations for video content segments having static scenes and scenes with motion, respectively. Each video content segment is encoded accordance with its encoding mode designation and then transmitted with its encoding mode designation to enable retrieval and decoding by a decoder. Encoded video content appears as LFR content for processing as LFR content by equipment unaware of the present encoding.

  • Patent number: 9420243
Abstract: Various implementations provide color images, including, for example, RGB images and/or HDR images. In one particular implementation, a color image is created using a first set of color values captured from multiple sensors. Multiple pixel locations of the color image have a color value for three colors that are captured from the multiple sensors. A lens assembly passes light to the multiple sensors. An HDR image is created using a second set of color values captured from the multiple sensors. Another implementation includes a lens assembly and multiple sensors arranged to receive light though the lens assembly. A first set of color values captured from the multiple sensors can be assembled to provide three color values for multiple pixel locations. A second set of color values captured from the multiple sensors can be interpolated to provide an HDR image.

  • Publication number: 20160234481
Abstract: In one embodiment, it is proposed an auto-stereoscopic display device comprising a display panel configured to deliver n different images views, with n a integer greater or equal to two; and an optical filter which is configured to control diffusion directions of said n different images views. The auto-stereoscopic display device is remarkable in that it comprises opaque materials positioned in said display panel in such way that a content indicating a direction that a user should follow in order to be in a correct sweet spot, is delivered on an edge of different views, when said display panel is on.

  • Patent number: 9253458
Abstract: The invention relates to a display device using the DLP (Digital Light Processing) technology. This invention is in the field of digital cinema and content protection, where camcorder acquisition followed by immediate illegal distribution creates important revenue losses for content owners. According to the invention, the addressing of the display device is modified in order to introduce an anti-copy processing. The display device comprises modulation means for modulating the color or brightness of video data of video pictures received at a first rate and for outputting at a second rate modulated video data, said second rate being a multiple of the first rate, subfield coding means for coding said modulated video data into subfield data, said subfield data being delivered at the second rate, and addressing means for addressing the array with said subfield data at a third rate. Advantageously, the third rate is not a multiple of the first rate.

  • Patent number: 8675030
Abstract: The present invention relates to a method for displaying a video image on a digital display device during a video frame comprising at least two distinct time segments for displaying a grey level. The cells of the device are able to take selectively an on state or an off state. The cells are able moreover to change state several times during a video frame. According to the invention, the cells change state at most once during each time segment of the video frame. The invention makes it possible to attenuate or suppress disturbances related to the temporal integration and to the sequential displaying of the R, G, B components of the video image.
