The inner surface of the cover that is in contact with the gel is texturized, comprising microscopic open cells.

Abstract: A hub (1) of an arterial puncture needle includes a tubular and transparent viewing chamber (5) accessible to the reflux of blood, and a reserve chamber (6) which is leaktight to the ambient air and in air communication with an outlet end (5b) of the viewing chamber. The two chambers form a rigid unit with the hub and have predetermined volumes such that the blood does not reach the air reserve chamber when the systolic pressure is maximal.

Abstract: The invention relates to a portable and non-implantable device to enable a patient to self-administer, on demand, successive doses of a liquid while ensuring that the period of time between two successive administrations cannot be less than a reference value. The device has a liquid reservoir formed in a piston which can be pushed in a chamber to expel the contents of the chamber via an injection outlet and which is returned in the opposite direction by a return. The liquid reservoir communicates with the inside of the chamber via a passage formed through the piston and is provided with a flow rate limiter so that the time required to fill the chamber corresponds to a reference value. The invention is suitable for medical applications.

Abstract: Surgical instrument for epidural anesthesia comprising a needle and catheter associated therewith which slides in the needle. The catheter has a set of main axial reference marks coinciding with an index on the needle. A reading will indicate the length of the catheter extending from the distal end of the needle. The catheter also includes a set of auxiliary reference marks distinguishable from the main reference marks.

Abstract: A hollow needle fixed in a chamber establishes a connection between an upstream coupling and a downstream coupling when it passes through a plug. The plug is made of a material such that it regains its closure properties when the needle is no longer passing through it, and it is pushed away from the needle by a spring to a closure position in which it fills the outlet opening of the downstream coupling. The connector is particularly suitable for use in medical applications.
