  • Publication number: 20180037307
Abstract: A need exists for a tank regulator that can reduce a pressure of more than about 4,300 psi to a much lower pressure. The present disclosure describes a piston regulator that allows for pressure to be reduced from an inlet pressure of about 5,000 psi or more to outlet pressure of about 2,000 psi or less. The regulator includes intermediate chambers to provide step-down pressures along the piston. The internal chambers enable to hold pressure differentials between the high-pressure inlet and the low-pressure outlet. The pressure in the intermediate chambers is maintained by a pressure-limiting valve to control the pressure differentials across piston seals. These seals allow the piston to actuate while maintaining a seal between the various pressure chambers.

  • Patent number: 9213614
Abstract: To test a software application, a method submits an electronic board including a component implementing an application to a laser radiation generated in test equipment. The component is excited with laser pulses having very short durations distributed during complex operational phases of the component for running the application, and the reaction of the component and the application are observed.

  • Patent number: 8856603
Abstract: To produce a memory which resists ion or photon attack, a memory structure is chosen whose memory point behaves asymmetrically with regard to these attacks. It is shown that in this case, it is sufficient to have a reference cell for an identical and periodic storage structure in order to be able to correct all the memory cells assailed by an attack. An error correction efficiency of ½ is thus obtained, with a simple redundancy, whereas the conventional methods make provision, for the same result, to triple the storage, to obtain a less beneficial efficiency of ?.

  • Publication number: 20140138102
Abstract: An exemplary fire suppression system includes a nozzle body configured to carry a fire suppressing fluid to be discharged from a first orifice array and a second orifice array. Gas bubbles can be introduced through a bubbler into the fire suppressing fluid to establish a bubbly mixture in the nozzle. Each first orifice in the first orifice array has a first flow property and is configured to receive the bubbly mixture and through effervescent atomization yield a first fire suppression mist from the first orifice array. Each second orifice in the second orifice array has a second different flow property and is configured to receive the bubbly mixture and through effervescent atomization yield a second fire suppression mist from the second orifice array. The first fire suppression mist and the second fire suppression mist are configured to provide a selected fire suppression nozzle discharge.

  • Patent number: 8577662
Abstract: To analyze an electronic component, this component is exposed to a focused laser beam. The information provided by the laser mapping relating to the position and to the depth of the sensitivity zones of the component is used as input parameter in prediction codes for quantifying the sensitivity of the mapped component to ionizing particles in the natural radioactive environment. The prediction codes are used to determine the occurrence of malfunctions in the electronic component. Determination of the risks associated with the radiative environment imposes two aspects: one, probabilistic, takes into account the particle/matter interaction and the other, electrical, takes into account the charge collection inside the electronic component.

  • Patent number: 8378696
Abstract: The behavior of a component subjected to pulsed laser radiation is measured. The polarization value, frequency, and temperature (or other operating conditions) to which the component is sensitive are determined by detecting a temporary or permanent fault in the operation of the component. If necessary, the parasitic currents generated are prevented from destroying the tested component at the time of testing. A susceptibility of the component to energetic interactions and the preferred operating conditions for the component are deduced.

  • Publication number: 20120247791
Abstract: A pressure gauge 20 includes a diaphragm 36 having a first side 64 and a second side 66 and occupying a first state or a second state as a function of a pressure of a fluid 59 in contact with the first side 64. A sensor 68 communicable with the second side 66 of the diaphragm 36 senses the first state or the second state to produce a signal which is processed by a circuit 40 to produce an output. An indicator 42 provides an output representing the first state or the second state of the diaphragm 36 based on the output from the circuit 40.
