  • Patent number: 10777012
Abstract: An augmented reality (AR) and 3-dimensional (3-D) viewing system for providing an AR and 3-D experience to a user includes a wearable visualization device having a viewing assembly through which the user is capable of viewing a real-world environment. The viewing assembly includes a first display configured to display one or more AR features and a 3-D viewing component that enables the user to perceive one or more coded 2-dimensional (2-D) images as one or more deciphered 3-D features. The AR and 3-D viewing system also includes a fixed 3-D display system having a second display configured to display the one or more coded 2-D images. The fixed 3-D display system is disposed within the real-world environment.

  • Patent number: 10315120
Abstract: A boom coaster includes a passenger vehicle, a track, a bogie coupled to the passenger vehicle and the track and configured to move along the track, and a simulated ride surface positioned above the track and beneath the passenger vehicle. The simulated ride surface is configured to imitate a path of the passenger vehicle, the bogie is coupled to a surface of the passenger vehicle via a leg member extending around the simulated ride surface, and the leg member suspends the passenger vehicle above the simulated surface such that the bogie and the track are blocked from a passenger view perspective of the passenger vehicle.

  • Publication number: 20110141246
Abstract: A system and method for displaying a stereoscopic image to a guest that compensates for spatial orientation of the guest includes providing a guest with a device comprising eye lenses, projecting a first and a second image on a surface viewable by the guest, wherein the first image has a polarizing vector that is orthogonal to a polarization vector of the second image, varying the rotational and translational orientation of the guest relative to the surface viewable by the guest, maintaining a directional correspondence between the polarizing vector for the one eye lens and that of the first image and the other eye lens and that of the second image during changes in the guest rotational and translational orientation to reduce distortion in the images viewed by the guest.
