  • Publication number: 20250051401
Abstract: The present invention relates to a yeast cell producing at least one secreted protein of interest, wherein said cell comprises at least one additional fungal gene showing increased expression and/or overexpression, showing reduced expression and/or inactivation, wherein said gene improves the production of the at least one secreted protein of interest. The present invention further relates to respective methods for production and uses of the yeast cell.

  • Patent number: 10278933
Abstract: The invention relates to a lipid composition comprising fatty acids mainly in the form of triacylglycerols, in which composition at least 50% of the fatty acids are 14-methyl pentadecanoic acids, and at least 8% of the fatty acids are 12-methyl tetradecanoic acids, the percentages being expressed by weight with respect to the total fatty acids of the composition.

  • Publication number: 20170145449
Abstract: The present invention relates to oleaginous yeast strains overexpressing a hexokinase gene, wherein said strains are capable of accumulating lipids. Methods for obtaining said strains as well as methods for producing lipids are also disclosed.

  • Publication number: 20160145599
Abstract: The present invention relates to a mutant yeast strain, in which at least the expression or the activity of the 2-methyl-citrate dehydratase is inhibited, and to the use of said strain for the production of lipids and of citric acid.

  • Publication number: 20130149754
Abstract: The present invention relates to a novel mutant strain of yeast, particularly a strain of Yarrowia lipolytica, which is capable of accumulating a large quantity of lipids. Said strain is deficient in the beta-oxidation of fatty acids and overexpresses the GPD1 gene. Preferably, the mutant strains, which do not express the GUT2 gene and which are deficient for the beta-oxidation of fatty acids, do not express the POX2 to POX5 genes, very preferably the POX2 to 6 genes. The invention also relates to a method for obtaining the strains of yeast according to the invention and to the use of said strains in the production of lipids.
