Abstract: A luminaire of elongate shape comprising a roof (1) and an elongate plate (4) which supports internal functional elements (7, 9, 10) of the luminaire. Each of the longitudinal edges of the plate (4) is provided with contact portions (3) which are turned towards the interior of the roof when the plate is in the normal operational position, while the roof is provided with hooks (8L, 8R) which face the contact portions (3) and which each have a support portion (6) which is designed to support the contact portion (3) when the plate is in the open position.

Abstract: The luminaire comprises a roof (20) and a transparent cover (30) as well as a plate (10) which supports internal functional elements (15, 45, 25) of the luminaire. The roof and the cover each have edges which correspond to one another, thus rendering possible an assembly by the edges with a joint (5). The plate (10) is held in place by clamping between the roof and the cover. The lateral walls of the roof have an inclined portion (3), and the edge of the plate is provided with a folded and inclined portion (2) which is pressed against the corresponding inclined portion of the roof.

Abstract: A packaging carton holds a luminaire which is to be fixed to any support by fasteners which are to be fixed to the support. The packaging carton has a portion which can be easily detached from the closed packaging. The fasteners are placed in the packaging behind the detachable portion so that they can be removed without the rest of the packaging being opened.
