  • Publication number: 20170081759
Abstract: The purpose of the invention is a process for obtaining a material comprising a substrate at least part of whose surface and at least one of whose faces is based on organic compounds, the said process being implemented at atmospheric pressure comprises moreover the following stages: In the immediate vicinity of the substrate, a zone containing active species of a non-thermal plasma is created; into the said zone is injected at least one precursor of a chemical element so as to deposit upon at least one face of the said substrate (at least part of whose surface comprises an organic compound base), a first thin layer capable of protecting the said substrate against oxidation reactions, specifically those due to radicals. A further purpose of the invention is the material obtainable according to this process.

  • Patent number: 7402268
Abstract: A process for manufacturing a composite profile based on a thermoplastic organic material reinforced by reinforcing fibres includes making a multiplicity of continuous reinforcing yarns come into contact with a thermoplastic organic material and shaping the composite profile. Continuous yarns based on continuous glass fibres and on a first thermoplastic are brought together to be parallel and at least one consolidated tape is formed by heating them, in which tape the reinforcing fibres are impregnated with the first thermoplastic. The at least one tape is introduced into a die sized to the cross-section of the profile and at least one second molten thermoplastic organic material is simultaneously introduced into the die in contact with the tape, to obtain a profile of at least one second thermoplastic organic material reinforced by the at least one tape.

Abstract: The purpose of the invention is a process for obtaining a material comprising a substrate at least part of whose surface and at least one of whose faces is based on organic compounds, the said process being implemented at atmospheric pressure and without heating the entire substrate. The said process comprises moreover the following stages: In the immediate vicinity of the said substrate a zone containing active species of a non-thermal plasma is created. Into the said zone is injected at least one precursor of a chemical element so as to deposit upon at least one face of the said substrate (at least part of whose surface comprises an organic compound base), a first thin layer capable of protecting the said substrate against oxidation reactions, specifically those due to radicals. • Publication number: 20030157280
Abstract: The joinery element comprises at least one extruded profile (400) made of an extrudable organic material reinforced by at least one reinforcing tape (401) consisting of continuous glass filaments and an organic material. It is characterized in that the tape is formed from continuous yarns based on continuous glass filaments and filaments of thermoplastic organic material, said yarns being brought together so as to be mutually parallel.
