  • Patent number: 7857584
Abstract: The invention relates to a novel reworking of a geometric shape of a stator vane in order locally to reduce the stress levels. It proposes a novel type of stator section in which a local reworking of the geometry of the vanes has been performed, this reworking making it possible to reduce the level of stress in the brazed joint connecting the vane to its outer shroud without entailing further aerodynamic engineering. To do that, the invention consists in a progressive and localized increase in the radius at the trailing edge combined with a progressive increase in the thickness of the vane.

  • Patent number: 7661925
Abstract: A variable-setting stator blade guidance device of an axial turbomachine is provided. The blade includes an airfoil, a platform and a pivot mounted in the casing of the turbomachine. The device includes a bearing integrated into the platform. In particular, the device includes a bush sandwiched between the platform and the casing, and the integrated bearing is formed between the bush and the platform. In particular, the bush includes a cylindrical surface portion on the side of the platform cooperating with a matching cylindrical surface portion on the platform to form the integrated bearing.

  • Publication number: 20080025837
Abstract: The present invention relates to a variable-setting stator blade guidance device of an axial turbomachine, the blade comprising an airfoil (22), a platform (23) and a pivot (24) mounted in the casing of the turbomachine. The device is characterized in that it comprises a bearing integrated into the platform. In particular, the device comprises a bush (26b) between the platform and the casing, and the integrated bearing is formed between the bush and the platform. In particular, the bush comprises a cylindrical surface portion (26b1) on the side of the platform interacting with a matching cylindrical surface portion (23b1) on the platform to form said integrated bearing.

  • Patent number: 7185499
Abstract: The invention relates to a device for passive control of the thermal expansion of the extension casing of a turbo-jet engine, said extension casing surrounding the casing of the high pressure compressor of the turbo-jet engine, and including a flange for attachment to an upstream flange of the casing of the combustion chamber. It is characterised in that at least one circumferential cavity is provided between both said flanges wherein circulates a gas flux tapped at the inlet of the combustion chamber. One uses thus a natural circulation generated by the differential pressure. Thanks to the device of the invention, the flange is passively controlled, and the stresses resulting from a differential expansion between the skin of the casing and its attachment flange are reduced.

  • Patent number: 6679679
Abstract: The stator shroud is made up of components (2) juxtaposed so as to form circumferences, which are successive and assembled separately to a common housing which surrounds them. Characteristically, the assembly is made with only one single fixing point (7) per component (2), while being completed by a support point (21) sliding along the circumference. The result is a more flexible component assembly and a more even distortion, which allows better control of the clearances between the shroud and the rotor blades it surrounds.
