  • Publication number: 20230090336
Abstract: The invention relates to a method for producing a shapable core (10) from a rigid panel (12), the plane of the panel being defined by the axes X and Y and the height H being oriented in the direction Z of an orthonormal reference frame, for producing composite material products, consisting in cutting the panel (12) to form core elements (16). According to the invention, the method consists in making the cuts (14, 34) along the axis Z, producing hooking means (17) on each of the core elements (16) cut in this way, so as to allow the core elements (16) to be connected to each other and to produce a hinge connection (22) with retention between the core elements (16) in the plane XY.

  • Patent number: 8914954
Abstract: A process for the production of a core (10) with integrated bridging fibers (12) for the manufacturing of composite panels, includes producing the following stages: using a cake that is made of light material of the rigid foam type, forming the core (10); depositing excess bridging fibers (12) on at least one surface (18, 20) of the core; making a portion of these bridging fibers (12) penetrate into the core; and removing excess bridging fibers (12) that are not used. The panel that is obtained as well as the associated device are also described.

  • Patent number: 8647456
Abstract: The object of the invention is a process for production of a reinforcement (10) for composite material comprising at least two layers (12, 14) intended to be embedded in a polymer matrix, characterized in that at least one (14) of the layers is comprised of continuous filaments (16) in one main direction F and in that these filaments are positioned with variable spacing along this main direction F.

  • Publication number: 20120068374
Abstract: A method for making a fiber reinforcement designed in particular to be incorporated in at least one matrix, characterized in that it includes performing the following steps: preparing a fiber-based material, and depositing on at least one of surfaces of the resulting material an adhesive capable of being reposition. Also, the reinforcement resulting from this method.

  • Patent number: 5667882
Abstract: A fibrous structure including a carded web of fibers that have higher individual-fiber linear density and which exhibit a spring characteristic. The web is sprayed with glass fibers or continuous glass filaments that randomly spread out flat on the web, and the web is subsequently needle-punched through a surface thereof to drive the glass fiber or glass filaments through the thickness of the web such that the glass fibers or glass filaments emerge through an opposite surface of the web.
