  • Patent number: 9354622
Abstract: The method of controlling a polyphase rotating electric machine, the machine operating as a generator and being linked to an electrical network (1), is of the type of those consisting in short-circuiting at least one phase winding in the event of load shedding. A short-circuit command (SAND) is generated for the phase winding when a first measurement voltage V of a voltage B+ of the network exceeds a first predetermined threshold value V1 and when a phase current (I?) in the phase winding vanishes and changes direction. The first measurement voltage V may be obtained by filtering the voltage B+ of the network with a predetermined time constant TF.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: April 19, 2012
Date of Patent: May 31, 2016
    Assignee: Valeo Equipements Electriques Moteur
Inventors: Philippe Masson, Thierry Mandion, Damien Chaumat

  • Patent number: 8415824
Abstract: According to the disclosure, a power sub-assembly (3) for a micro-hybrid system (1) in an automobile includes an AC-DC converter (8) with a transistor bridge (13), an energy storage device (10) and a power bus (9) including at least two cylindrical conductors (22, 22?). According to the disclosure, conductors (22, 22?) include respective coaxial cylindrical surfaces (23, 23?). The power bus integrated in the power subassembly allows for a parasitic inductance that is by far lower than that of the standard cables in power subassemblies of the prior art, particularly in order to avoid overvoltage at the terminals of the transistors in the AC-DC converter.

Date of Patent: April 9, 2013
    Assignee: Valeo Equipements Electriques Moteur

  • Publication number: 20110001355
Abstract: The power sub-assembly (3) for a micro-hybrid system (1) in an automobile includes a AC-DC converter (8) with a transistor bridge (13), an energy storage device (10) and a power bus (9) including at least two substantially symmetrical and parallel conductors (22). The conductors (22) include respective substantially planar surfaces (23, 23?) facing each other. The power bus integrated in the power subassembly allows for a parasitic inductance that is by far lower than that of the standard cables in power subassemblies of the prior art, particularly in order to avoid overvoltage at the terminals of the transistors in the AC-DC converter.
