  • Patent number: 6553066
Abstract: A time error compensation arrangement (TCOMP) that compensates for a time error (&egr;, &Dgr;k) between a transmitter sample clock in a multi-carrier transmitter and a receiver sample clock (CLK) in a multi-carrier receiver (RX1, RX2) includes a digital time correction filter (FILTER, FILTER′), operative in time domain, to compensate for a linearly increasing contribution (&Dgr;k) in the time error (&egr;, &Dgr;k) and rotation means (ROTOR), operative in frequency domain, to compensate for a second, remaining contribution (&egr;) in said time error (&egr;, &Dgr;k).

  • Publication number: 20020186760
Abstract: Method and apparatus for modeling a network are described in which a 1 port measurement is made on the network by inputting an excitation signal at one port of the network and recording the results reflected back to the port. A 1 port parametric model of the network is generated whereby as much information about the topology of the network is included in calculating initial values of the parameters. Then the values of the parameters of the 1 port parametric model are optimized by reducing the difference between the results of the measurement step and results calculated using the 1-port parametric model and the excitation signal.

  • Publication number: 20020168064
Abstract: The present invention is related to a hybrid for digital subscriber line communication systems, said hybrid comprising means (1) for injecting a transmit signal (Vt) into a loop (3), means for extracting a receive signal (Vr) from said loop, and a balancing circuit for matching the input impedance of said loop, characterized in that said balancing circuit comprises at least one group (10) of a resistor (R1 . . . Rn), an inductor (L1 . . . Ln) and a capacitor (C1 . . . Cn), connected in parallel.

  • Publication number: 20020150071
Abstract: The invention relates to a reception arrangement for receiving multicarrier symbols, each multicarrier symbol (S1, S2, S3) comprising a plurality of single carrier symbols, each symbol modulating a respective carrier frequency (f1, f2, f3). The single carrier symbols are transmitted simultaneously. The arrangement comprises means for detecting phase error of each single carrier and means for correcting the phase of a sampling clock (52) in view of the estimated error.

  • Publication number: 20020123321
Abstract: A multi-carrier receiver selects antennas (A31, A32), i.e. carriers whereto a small amount of power and data is allocated, for estimation of characteristics of a narrowband disturber (RFI-Signal-3) in the Radio Frequency Interference band (RFI-Band), a predetermined band for e.g. radio amateur transmission. These antennas (A31, A32) can be selected amongst all carriers located inside the Radio Frequency Interference band (RFI-Band) and at least two carriers (C1, C2) located outside the Radio Frequency Interference band (RFI-Band).

  • Patent number: 5885453
Abstract: Apparatus for physicochemical separation and filtering constituents of fluids having a flexible leak-tight or semipermeable casing which tightly envelopes a filter material and inlet and outlet pipes for passing a fluid through the casing in contact with the filter material. The casing is made in a flat profile that can be formed into various shapes such as spirals, ribbons or the like.
