Date of Patent: December 3, 2019
    Assignee: AKTIEBOLAGET SKF
Inventors: Daniel Capoldi, Frederic Bordier, Laurent Cherioux, Thierry Prouteau, Philippe Weber
  • Patent number: 9777807
Abstract: A tensioning device comprising a receiver housing, a lever arm mounted on the receiver housing and rotatable with respect to the receiver housing around a first rotation axis, a pulley mounted on the lever arm and rotatable with respect to the lever arm around a second rotation axis parallel to the first rotation axis, and a spring mounted between the receiver housing and the lever arm and adapted to apply a torque for rotating the lever arm around the first rotation axis. The receiver housing and the lever arm are screwed together around the first rotation axis. The spring applies an axial damping effort, parallel to the first axis, on cooperating threaded portions respectively provided on the receiver housing and on the lever arm.

  • Publication number: 20150292603
Abstract: A pulley device for a belt or chain, the pulley device comprising a bearing provided with an external ring, an internal ring, and at least one row of rolling elements mounted in a bearing chamber defined between the external and internal rings. A pulley is secured in rotation with the external ring and provided with an external radial surface for engaging with a belt or chain. Also included is at least one hollow shaft able to receive a screw for mounting the pulley device on a support. The hollow shaft forming a structural unit comprising a bushing, a flange secured to the bushing, and which extends, from the bushing, radially outwards, respective to a central axis of the hollow shaft, as far as the bearing chamber. The flange is formed with a washer and an endplate, while the washer is radially located between the bushing and the endplate.

  • Patent number: 9028352
Abstract: The pulley device for a belt or chain tensioning idler or runner roller comprises a pulley (12), a roller bearing (14), a spacer (18) for the mounting of the rolling bearing (14) and being capable of pressing against an element external to the device, a fastening screw (20) immobilized axially relative to the spacer (18), and at least one retaining ring (22) which is elastic radially and which is mounted inside a groove (60) made on the fastening screw (20), a portion of the ring (22) protruding radially into a recess (52) of the spacer (18).

  • Patent number: 8840497
Abstract: A pulley device for a belt or chain tensioning or guide roller includes a pulley, a rolling bearing, and a spacer configured to support the rolling bearing and having a transverse mounting surface disposable against an external element. An attachment member includes a threaded portion with an outer diameter and a retaining ring is disposed on the attachment member and retains the attachment member axially relative to the spacer. The ring has an inner diameter lesser than the outer diameter of the threaded portion in a free state and opening such that the ring is radially deflectable. Preferably, the spacer has a recess extending from the mounting surface defined by a frustaconical surface tapering outwardly toward the mounting surface and a shoulder extending inwardly from the frustoconical surface, the ring being deflectable radially inwardly by the recess so as to be disposed generally against the shoulder of the recess.
