The transaction information is indicative of a purchase of one or more items identified with a unique product code. The method also includes providing, to the consumer, a transaction card indicative of at least a portion of the transaction information; requesting, from the consumer, a validation of the purchase and providing the transaction information to a server when the purchase is validated by the consumer. The method also includes allowing the consumer to modify the transaction information upon request.
