  • Patent number: 11615118
Abstract: A method for a multi-cluster warehouse includes allocating processing units as part of a data warehouse. The processing units access data within one or more databases in cloud storage resources. The method also includes providing one or more queries to each processing unit within the data warehouse. In response to the queries, each processing unit performs database operations on a particular portion of a database table. The method also includes monitoring a workload of the processing units to determine that a processing capacity of the processing units has reached a threshold processing capacity. The method also includes dynamically adding additional processing units to and removing processing units from the data warehouse as needed based on a workload of the processing units.

  • Publication number: 20230091267
Abstract: A device, system and method for changing a topology of a geographically distributed system is provided. One or more computing devices determine resource usage of an initial topology of a geographically distributed system that includes data stored at one or more initial locations and applications, that consume the data, being implemented at the one or more of initial locations. The computing device(s) determine projected resource usage of additional topologies of the geographically distributed system, the additional topologies defining respective locations, different from the one or more initial locations, where respective portions of the data and/or the applications are located. In response to an additional topology having a respective projected resource usage that is less than the resource usage of the initial topology, the computing device(s) control a respective portion of the data and/or the applications to move to the respective locations defined by the additional topology.

Abstract: An augmented reality surgical system includes a head mounted display (HMD) with a see-through display screen, a motion sensor, a camera, and computer equipment. The motion sensor outputs a head motion signal indicating measured movement of the HMD. The computer equipment computes the relative location and orientation of reference markers connected to the HMD and to the patient based on processing a video signal from the camera. The computer equipment generates a three dimensional anatomical model using patient data created by medical imaging equipment, and rotates and scales at least a portion of the three dimensional anatomical model based on the relative location and orientation of the reference markers, and further rotate at least a portion of the three dimensional anatomical model based on the head motion signal to track measured movement of the HMD.
