Abstract: Methods and apparatus are provided to minimize conflicts caused by simultaneous unicast and broadcast transmission/reception in a mobile communication device. The mobile communication device selects a technology for the reception of a broadcast/multicast/unicast service and then disables the use of specific technologies or the use of a specific technology on a specific frequency band that might interfere with the reception of another service.

Abstract: A method for the wireless transmission of data between a transmitter and a receiver, involving the use of at least one single-carrier pilot signal and at least one signal for the transmission of data transmitted using a multicarrier modulation. A estimation of the response of the transmission channel of the first signal is produced, the estimation takes account of the single-carrier pilot signal and at least one part of the pilot signal which coincides temporarily with at least one part of said first signal. The invention also relates to the transmitter, the receiver and a corresponding signal.
