  • Patent number: 6192778
Abstract: A cutting apparatus for separating packages from a line of interconnected packages. The technical problem is to simplify the cutting apparatus and shorten the set-up times and the work cycles. This problem is achieved with a lower knife (4) capable of being moved in between the packages in the vertical direction from below and with an upper roll (12) capable of being moved, together with a discharge gripper (11) for the separated packages, parallel to the conveying section while being pressed against the lower knife.

  • Patent number: 6145284
Abstract: A filling machine for thermoplastic cups, with a cyclically operating conveying section which takes over a cup sheet web with thermoformed cups from a thermoforming station, there being provided, for the simultaneous filling of a batch of cups, for each cup of the batch, a filling unit with a filling cylinder and a filling pipe for a pasty filling product, the filling cylinder containing a filling piston on the product side. The technical problem is to provide a filling machine which is easily adjustable in terms of volume, works without a sucking action, and is easy to clean and sterilize. An air piston (31) is connected, on the drive side, to the filling piston (24) by a piston rod (40) and the filling cylinder (23) is closed off above the air piston (31) by a cylinder head (32) which is connected to a pressure compensation reservoir via a compensation pipe (35).

  • Patent number: 6135753
Abstract: A thermoforming station in a thermoforming machine for thermoplastic cups, which is equipped with a cyclically operating conveying section which takes over a cup sheet web from an unwinding station, the conveying section running through a heating station, the thermoforming station and further processing stations. The technical problem is a perfect and rapid cooling of the thermoplastic cups in the thermoforming station, in order to keep the cycle time as short as possible, and an adaptation of the thermoforming die to different heights of the thermoplastic cups. The lower die (7) of the thermoforming station (6) is constructed from intermediate plates (32) forming a plate stack, grooves (35) being made in the surface of the intermediate plates (32) for the purpose of forming cooling channels within the plate stack.

  • Patent number: 5279419
Abstract: A cardboard tray for cylindrical packs having a base section, parallel to the longitudinal edges of which are arranged receivers aligned in longitudinal rows for longitudinal rows of packs. The technical problem is to reduce the consumption of materials and to utilize the space better within a stack, as well as to improve the functional value of the cardboard trays. Adjacent longitudinal rows of receivers are displaced relative to one another. The transverse edges of the base section follow a meandering line, and the base section has cut-in border flanges which are bent up and joined.
