  • Patent number: 9099857
Abstract: The invention relates to a tubular helical support (1) for the radial support of resiliently expanded tubing (27), a process and a device (18) for the production thereof, and a tubing arrangement (26) comprising a helical support (1) according to the invention, the helical support (1) being made of at least one extruded element (2), which is wound to form a plurality of windings (11, 12, 13) and the connection portions (7, 8) of which are connected to one another at least in portions by a connection seam (15), preferably formed as a laser weld seam. To produce a helical support (1) which reliably withstands the compression forces of the tubing (27), can easily be removed from the expanded tubing (27), and is easy and cheap to produce, it is provided in accordance with the invention that at least the interconnected connection surfaces (9, 10) of the connection portions (7, 8) of the extruded element (2) are not transparent to laser beams.

  • Patent number: 8192816
Abstract: The present invention relates to a tubular support coil for radial support of resiliently expanded tubing material, made from at least one extruded profile body wound into a plurality of windings, the end faces of the extruded profile body being connected to each other at least in portions in the longitudinal direction of the support coil and interlocked by a ratchet arrangement in the longitudinal direction and by a tongue and groove arrangement in a radial direction. To create an improved support coil, which is inexpensive to produce, reliably withstands exterior pressing forces and can easily be taken apart manually with low releasing forces and removed from the tubing material, it is proposed that the present invention has a rotation prevention means, through which adjacent windings are held secure against rotation.

  • Publication number: 20100307821
Abstract: An external sleeve joins two or more cable ends. The external sleeve includes a sleeve body, a shielding layer, an outer wall, and a barrier layer. The shielding layer is an electrically conducting shielding layer arranged along an outside of the sleeve body. The outer wall is arranged along the outside of the shielding layer. The barrier layer has a permeability factor, and is arranged along the inside of the outer wall. As a result, the penetration of fluids is reduced.

  • Patent number: 7744977
Abstract: A support coil for radially supporting an elastically expanded tube material includes an extruded profile body consisting of a plurality of windings wound about a longitudinal axis of the support coil. Each of the windings has opposing end faces. A ratchet arrangement joins the end faces of the adjacent windings with respect to the longitudinal axis of the support coil. A tongue and groove arrangement joins the end faces of the adjacent windings with respect to a radial direction of the support coil. The tongue and groove arrangement is spatially separated from the ratchet arrangement.

  • Publication number: 20100012350
Abstract: The present invention relates to a support element for a resilient sheath, in particular to a holdout for a cable sleeve. The support element includes a tubular expansion element, which can be brought into contact with an inner wall of the resilient sheath and is constructed in such a way as to hold the resilient sheath in a pre-mounted radially expanded state. A reinforcing member is provided to reinforce the support element and in the pre-assembled state of the resilient sheath is at least partially received in the expansion element to reinforce the internal diameter of said expansion element, the reinforcing member being constructed in such a way that it can be removed from the expansion element before the assembly of the resilient sheath without being destroyed.

  • Publication number: 20060260841
Abstract: An arrangement for enclosing at least a part of an object, comprising an elastically deformable sleeve (3) and a support (5) by which the sleeve is held in a deformed state such that removal of the sleeve from one end of the support allows the sleeve to recover around and thereby to enclose an object (present in use), characterised in that an initiating part (13) of the sleeve remote from the said one end is arranged (preferably deformed over a flange (15) of the support), such that the deformation of that initiating part (13) may be locally relaxed (preferably by manual release of a holding portion (17) of the sleeve adjacent to the initiating part (13) thereof) initially in isolation from the remainder of the sleeve (3), the arrangement being such that the local relaxation provides an impetus that facilitates or causes the said removal of the sleeve (3) from the said one end of the support (5).
