  • Publication number: 20240025202
Abstract: A filling system for a fountain pen includes a pump unit, an air channel connected to the pump unit and to a first connection for connecting to the fountain pen, and an ink channel separate from the air channel and having an immersion end for immersing in ink and which is connected to a second connection for connecting to the fountain pen. The pump unit is designed to introduce a specified air volume into the air channel with positive pressure in order to flush ink out of the fountain pen and subsequently apply a negative pressure to the air channel such that a specified ink volume is suctioned out of the ink channel into the fountain pen.

  • Publication number: 20230331027
Abstract: A fountain pen with a quick-filling coupling includes a nib assembly, a housing with a main tank and a writing tank formed therein, a rotatable finial at an end of the fountain pen opposite from the nib assembly, and a coupling for placing the housing on an ink feed device. A first sealing unit, arranged between the writing tank and the main tank, can be selectively opened and closed for filling the writing tank via the main tank. A second sealing unit, arranged between the writing tank and the nib assembly, can be selectively opened and closed for supplying ink to the nib assembly. A third sealing unit, arranged between the main tank and the coupling, can be opened and closed for filling at least the main tank. The finial is operably coupled to the pen for controlling the opening state of the first and second sealing units.

  • Patent number: 11408366
Abstract: Cylinder arrangement (1) and method for cooling the cylinder arrangement (1) addresses a solution with which the heat transfer from a combustion chamber (6) of an internal combustion engine located in a cylinder liner (2) of the cylinder arrangement (1) into a region (7) surrounding the cylinder liner (2), such as a cylinder block or crankcase, is controlled in a temperature-dependent manner. Arrangement solves said problem by providing a jacket (9), the expansion of which changes depending on temperature, arranged between the cylinder liner (2) and the region (7) surrounding the cylinder liner (2). The method uses the cylinder liner (2) with a jacket (9), expands depending on temperature and surrounds the cylinder liner (2); jacket (9) forms a gap (10) between jacket (9) and region (7) in a first temperature range; jacket (9) forms no gap (10) between jacket (9) and region (7) in a second temperature range.

  • Patent number: 11300089
Abstract: An injector (1) for injecting fuel and an additional fluid, is provided in that the injector (1) is designed for optimal space-saving yet exhibiting a simple construction. This construction results in a precise injection of a fuel and an additional fluid into a combustion chamber of an internal combustion engine. The arrangement has two solenoid valves, the first valve (2) and the second valve (3). The second solenoid valve (3) has a second nozzle needle (9) which is arranged in the injector (1), and the first nozzle needle (7) of the first solenoid valve (2) and the second nozzle needle (9) of the second solenoid valve (3) are arranged one behind the other on a longitudinal axis (10) of the injector (1). Further, the nozzle needles (7, 9) can be controlled independently of one another.

  • Publication number: 20090043917
Abstract: An electronic circuit includes an input for receiving at least one input information item, the at least one input information item representing received encoded chip select information. The electronic circuit further includes a value modifier for providing modified encoded chip select information based on the received encoded chip select information, such that the modified encoded chip select information encodes a different value than the received encoded chip select information. The value modifier processes at least one information item of the received encoded chip select information to obtain an information item of the modified encoded chip select information. The electronic circuit further includes an output for outputting at least one output information item, the output information item representing the modified encoded chip select information.

  • Publication number: 20080163558
Abstract: A grinding disc, comprising a particularly metal grinding disc base body and abrasive grains applied to a surface of the grinding disc base body, in particular, made from cubic boron nitride is disclosed. The abrasive grains are arranged on the surface of the grinding disc base body with a defined position and defined separation to each other. A greater number of abrasive grains are arranged in given macro regions (18) of the surface of the grinding disc base body than in other given macro regions (19) of the surface.

  • Patent number: 5911502
Abstract: The present invention provides a a headlight operable as a running light of a vehicle and, in particular, as a headlight of the vehicle for selectively projecting a low and a high beam. The headlight includes a reflector having a light source disposed therein. A beam position adjusting device operates to move the light source between its low beam position and its high beam position. The beam position adjusting device includes an electric powered drive motor and a displaceable interconnecting element interconnecting the beam position adjusting device and the light source. The device also includes a motion translation element for translating the drive output of the drive motor to displacement of the displaceable interconnecting element, the beam position adjusting device being operable to dispose the light source in its high beam position. A return movement device automatically biases the light source to move to its low beam disposition when the drive motor is not powered.
