Publication number: 20060064624Abstract: Methods and apparatus are provided for controlling writing and reading of data in an array of A storage fields of a probe-based data storage device in which data is written to and read from the array of storage fields by a corresponding array of probes. One method provides error-tolerance by exploiting the inherent parallelism of the probe storage array. A user data block to be written to the A-field array is first coded to produce a plurality of C-byte codewords, such that r.C=k1.A where r is the number of codewords and k1 is an integer?1. A sub-blocks of k1 bytes are produced from the codewords by selecting successive bytes of each sub-block cyclically from the r codewords. The A sub-blocks are then written via respective probes to the corresponding storage fields of the storage field array.Type: ApplicationFiled: September 20, 2004Publication date: March 23, 2006Inventors: Thomas Albrecht, Theodore Antonakopoulos, Giovanni Cherubini, Ajay Dholakia, Evangelos Eleftheriou, Charalampos Pozidis

Patent number: 6918754Abstract: A blow mold machine, comprising two lockable mold halves. A locking element is fixed onto one mold half and a shaft with at least one recess is mounted in the other mold half. The shaft can be pivoted between a locking position, in which it lies against the locking element and a release position, in which the locking element can be displaced past the recess. A locking mechanism with a particularly simple construction can thus be achieved.Type: GrantFiled: March 9, 2001Date of Patent: July 19, 2005Assignee: Krones AGInventor: Thomas Albrecht

Publication number: 20050090925Abstract: A reticle control system and method in which each reticle is unambiguously assigned a structured reticle data set, and the content of each reticle data set is automatically changed and/or supplemented depending on use of the associated reticle in the semiconductor component production process for which the reticle was produced. The reticle data set is used to identify and control the reticles over the entire production sequence. The ability to change or supplement the reticle data sets facilitates progressively storing production-dictated information related to the use of the associated reticles, thereby enabling effective control of the reticles in the production process.Type: ApplicationFiled: August 28, 2002Publication date: April 28, 2005Applicant: Infineon Technologies AGInventors: Thomas Albrecht, Norbert Haase, Henning Haffner, Carmen Jahnert, Olaf Kronefeld, Manfred Stiegler

Publication number: 20050063094Abstract: A magnetic tape cartridge includes a cartridge casing and a single reel which is contained in the cartridge casing for rotation. The reel has a reel hub in the form of a cylindrical member which has a bottom wall and is provided with an opening and a stopper gear formed on the bottom wall. A brake member is provided with a brake gear and is movable up and down between an operative position where the brake gear is brought into engagement with the stopper gear to prevent rotation of the reel and a retracted position where the brake gear is disengaged from the stopper gear to permit rotation of the reel. The brake member is normally urged toward the operative position and moved to the retracted position by a pusher member of a tape drive system which acts on the brake member through the opening in the reel hub when the magnetic tape cartridge is loaded in the tape drive system.Type: ApplicationFiled: November 22, 2004Publication date: March 24, 2005Inventors: Kiyoo Morita, Hideaki Shiga, Daisuke Takahashi, Yusuke Ishihara, Seiji Tsuyuki, Jeffrey McAllister, Thomas Albrecht, Robert Heinze
