  • Patent number: 11974603
Abstract: The present disclosure relates to aerosol delivery devices and cartridges for aerosol delivery devices. The cartridge comprises a mouthpiece having a proximal end and a distal end, the proximal end of the mouthpiece having an exit portal defined therethrough, a tank defining a proximal end and a closed distal end, the tank being configured to contain a liquid composition that includes a distinctive characteristic, and a heater configured to heat the liquid composition. The distal end of the mouthpiece is configured to engage the proximal end of the tank, and when the cartridge is coupled with the aerosol delivery device at least one feature of the cartridge, or at least one feature of the control device, or at least one feature of both the cartridge and the control device, provides a visual indication of a color associated with the distinctive characteristic.

  • Publication number: 20070296916
Abstract: A contact lens (10) for use in controlling or retarding the progression of myopia in an eye has a central optical zone (20) approximating the normal diameter of the pupil of the eye (22) that gives clear central vision at distance for the wearer. An annular peripheral optical zone 24 that is substantially outside the diameter of the pupil is formed around the central optical zone (20) with greater refractive power than that of the central zone (22) so that oblique rays entering the eye through the peripheral optical zone (24) will be brought to focus at a focal plane that is substantially on or anterior to the peripheral region of the retina. Preferably, the rear surface (16) of the lens is shaped to conform to the cornea of the eye and the front surface (18) of the lens (10) is shaped to provide—in conjunction with the rear surface (16)—the desired optical properties of the central and peripheral optical zones.

  • Patent number: 6752499
Abstract: The present invention provides new methods and systems for treating myopia progression in myopic patients who also exhibit near point esophoria, esophoria at near, eso fixation disparity, or eso associated phoria by selectively prescribing bifocal contact lenses to such patients. Near point eso fixation disparity may include esophores, low exophores, and orthophores. One method for controlling myopia progression comprises identifying a near point esophoric myopic patient, measuring an amount of fixation disparity, and prescribing a bifocal contact lens add power prescription. The bifocal add power prescription is based on the fixation disparity measurement and a distance prescription for the patient's eye.
