Publication number: 20210370111Abstract: Described herein are zonal fire suppression systems and methods of using such systems for suppressing fires in cargo aircraft. A system is configured to individually monitor the temperature in each of multiple cargo zones in the cargo area. The system is also configured to selectively activate one or more of multiple zone distribution components to distribute a fire suppressant material, based at least on the temperature monitoring. The zonal approach to the temperature monitoring and to the fire suppressant material distribution allows reducing the fire suppressant material amount needed on the cargo aircraft, which, in turn, reduces the aircraft load. Furthermore, in some examples, the zonal approach eliminates unnecessary contact between the cargo (e.g., in the zones unaffected by fire) and the fire suppressant material. In some examples, this fire suppression involves depressurizing of the cargo area, in addition to or instead of the fire suppressant material distribution material.Type: ApplicationFiled: June 2, 2020Publication date: December 2, 2021Applicant: The Boeing CompanyInventors: Derek Tyler Diaz, Douglas E. Patent number: 11127245Abstract: A gaming machine includes a cabinet at least partially defining a cavity opening and an internal cavity at least partially visible through the cavity opening, a primary display, a secondary display positioned within the internal cavity and visible through the cavity opening, a display movement assembly coupled to the primary display, and logic circuitry. The display movement assembly selectively moves the primary display between an open position and a closed position in which the primary display blocks visibility through the cavity opening. The logic circuitry causes the primary display in the closed position to present a first portion of a game, causes the display movement assembly to move the primary display to the open position to expose the cavity opening and the secondary display, and, in response to the secondary display being exposed, causes the secondary display to present a second portion of the game.Type: GrantFiled: September 24, 2019Date of Patent: September 21, 2021Assignee: SG Gaming, Inc.Inventors: Thomas Baker, Robert Glenn, Brian Goldstein, Paul Lesley, Timothy Loose, Abraham Usi, Bran Ferren, Michael Keesling, Donald Lariviere, Robert Liebersbach, Andrew McGraw

Publication number: 20210031357Abstract: A container configured for storing a chainsaw chain and method for storing a chainsaw chain. The method requires a chainsaw chain and a container. The container has chamber configured to secure the width of a chainsaw chain. The container may have variable height and length but the width of the chamber in the container must be approximately that of the width of the chainsaw chain. The chainsaw chain is loaded into the storage container vertically so that the width of the chain securely fits into the width of the chamber. The length of the chain folds or bunches onto itself so as to planarly stack in the storage container. This container and method is intended to prevent tangling of the chainsaw chain and allows for efficient storage of the chainsaw chain.Type: ApplicationFiled: July 30, 2020Publication date: February 4, 2021Inventor: Thomas Baker

Process for preparation of hydrofluoroalkenes by selective catalytic consecutive hydrodefluorination
Patent number: 10774021Abstract: The present application provides a hydrodefluorination process for the preparation of hydrofluoroalkenes by catalyzed substitution of one or more F atoms of a C2-C30 fluoroalkene, or a C2-C10 fluoroalkene, with one or more H atoms using a hydride source, such as a silane, and copper catalyst. During this process at least one C—F bond in the fluoroakene is converted to a C—H bond. The process is useful in the manufacture of hydrofluoroalkenes, such as hydrofluoroalkenes employed as, for example, refrigerants and blowers. Also provided are precatalyst compositions for performing the process, and formulations manufactured from hydrofluoroalkenes produced using the process.Type: GrantFiled: August 30, 2017Date of Patent: September 15, 2020Assignee: University of OttawaInventors: Ralph Thomas Baker, Nicholas Orlando Andrella -
