  • Publication number: 20080284113
Abstract: A gasket is provided with a metallic substrate formed from a flat sheet of metal and is deformed to provide a raised beam portion that creates a load bearing compression limiting feature to control stresses on the over molded gasket material.
    Type: Application

  • Patent number: 6161840
Abstract: A static gasket for sealing mating flanges which are clamped together by at least one fastener. A carrier holds the seal in a groove and the seal is protected from over compression by a compression limiter which is inserted into an aperture in the carrier. The compression limiter is crescent shaped to permit the insertion of a fastener stud into a through hole formed between the compression limiter and the aperture in the carrier.

  • Patent number: 5145190
Abstract: The present invention is a gasket assembly for sealing a gap between adjacent surfaces of mating components. The gasket assembly includes a core member having at least one opening extending therethrough. The gasket assembly also includes at least one seal member disposed in and circumscribing the opening. The gasket assembly further includes a plurality of tab members extending alternatingly into the opening for supporting the seal member between the tab members and within the opening.
