  • Patent number: 8554609
Abstract: A paperless coupon system and method are provided that facilitate encouraging and rewarding consumer use of coupons, and decreasing the costs associated with coupon distribution and redemption for commercial entities. The system and method involve issuing a machine readable article such as a card, for example, to a user or offeree and registering the card on a website or other communication network to associate the card with an offeree user account, generating and displaying paperless coupons from which the user or offeree can select, and allowing the user to link their selected coupons to their machine readable article and redeem them in an electronic and automatic manner at, and/or after purchase of the related item(s) through their use of the card during the purchase transaction.

  • Publication number: 20020061380
Abstract: A surface covering provides multiple new top leaves on a surface to be covered. The surface covering includes a stack of leaves having at least a first leaf and a last leaf, such that the first leaf forms a covering surface. Each of the leaves includes a first surface adapted to serve as a covering surface, a leaf adherent for removably connecting the plurality of leaves to each other, and a second surface that opposes the first surface and is removably connected to the first surface of an adjacent leaf by the leaf adherent. The first leaf may be removed from the adjacent leaf such that the adjacent leaf becomes the first leaf The last leaf comprises a first surface adapted to serve as the covering surface and an opposing second surface. A leaf adherent connects the second surface of the last leaf to a surface to be covered.

  • Patent number: 5555567
Abstract: An improved adjustable "L" side attachment strap means for attaching a face guard to a helmet comprises two straps: a main attachment strap and an adjustable retention strap, where the two straps are approximately orthogonal. The main attachment strap encircles the rear-most vertical bar of the guard, restricting the guard from moving in the fore and aft directions, while the adjustable retention strap encircles the lowest horizontal bar, of the rear section of the guard, restricting the guard from moving in the vertical direction. The adjustable retention strap fits into a notch in the main attachment strap, where both straps can be secured to the helmet by a single screw and T-Nut so that there is approximately a 90 degree angle between the straps, allowing for greater variability in fit.

  • Patent number: 5293649
Abstract: In prior art face guard mounting technology, the guard is attached to the helmet by four attachment straps. This invention pertains to improving the way that the guard is mounted to only the sides of the helmet. Each prior art side attachment strap is in the form of a single loop that encircles the rear most bar of the guard. The prior art design holds the guard to the helmet restricting the guard from moving only in the direction that the side attachment strap points in. However, the prior art side attachment has no means of restricting the guard from moving down through the loop in the side attachment strap, nor does it keep the guard from rattling, tilting or moving up and down on the helmet. The present invention side attachment strap provides a means of restricting the guard from getting moved around on the helmet. The improved side attachment strap eliminates the problems encountered by the prior art design by containing two loops, with a 90 degree angle between the loops.
