  • Patent number: 4595092
Abstract: In a conveyor system of the type having laterally spaced side frame members supporting a plurality of load-carrying rollers for rotation about transverse axes to transport a load in a longitudinal direction between an upstream end and a downstream end of the conveyor system, a load-pusher assembly comprises first and second assembly sections including drive and idler mechanisms, respectively, two tracks spanning the space between the side frame members of the conveyor section in parallel relationship to the transverse axes of the load-carrying rollers, a first movable trolley carried by the tracks for pushing the load in a second direction transverse to the first direction, a second movable trolley carried by the tracks for pushing the load in a third direction opposed to the second direction, and linkages connecting the trolleys.

  • Patent number: 4565483
Abstract: A conveyor car used in combination with one or more conveyors to transport loads from one conveyor to another includes modular end units, modular conveyor units, a rigid coupling for coupling end units to conveyor units and a hinge coupling for coupling the two conveyor units to each other. The hinge coupling allows the two conveyor units to pivot up and down near the center of the car but provides a rigid coupling to prevent horizontal movement of the conveyor units relative to each other.

  • Patent number: 4519493
Abstract: A turntable for a conveyor system has a main frame, a plurality of load-carrying rollers supported by the main frame for rotation about transverse axes to transport a load between upstream and downstream ends of the conveyor system, a lift frame supported by the main frame, a load-supporting table carried on the main frame, and glide rollers for allowing rotation of the table relative to the lift frame. Air jacks move the lift frame between a first position where the table is slightly below the load-carrying rollers to allow the load to be transported over the load-carrying rollers and a second position where the table is above the load-carrying rollers to lift the load off the load-carrying rollers. A lift-leveling mechanism provides level movement of the lift frame relative to the main frame and includes a plurality of guide plates mounted on the main frame.

  • Patent number: 4334607
Abstract: A load-entry assembly for a conveyor system includes a conveyor section having laterally spaced side frame members supporting a plurality of load-carrying rollers for rotation about transverse axes which are arranged in a common plane above the side frame members to transport a load in a longitudinal direction between a first end and a second end of the conveyor section. A pair of first elongated tracks is mounted longitudinally to opposed sides of the conveyor section, and each track includes a lower horizontal track section, an upper horizontal track section, and an inclined track section connecting the lower and upper horizontal track sections in angular relationship thereto. A pair of second elongated tracks is also mounted longitudinally to opposed sides of the conveyor section.

  • Patent number: 4293065
Abstract: An accumulating live roller conveyor is power-driven to effect rotation of a plurality of load-carrying rollers and transport loads from roller to roller without gravity assistance and includes apparatus which is specifically designed to permit loads to remain stationary on the load-carrying rollers without interferring with the operation of the conveyor's drive mechanism. The drive mechanism includes an endless conveying member having an upper frictional driving pass and a lower return pass for transporting the loads along the load-carrying rollers through friction contact therewith. A drive/take-up assembly section for an accumulating live conveyor system permits the loads to selectively remain stationary in conveyor zones located at the ends of the conveyor which typically include drive/take-up rollers and a drive motor without interferring with the operation of the drive/take-up rollers or the drive motor.
