  • Patent number: 5001315
Abstract: A circuit breaker auxiliary device is housed in its own separate enclosed container and is accessible by a drive pin through an opening in the container mounting surface. A drive pin is inserted into an opening in a circuit breaker housing mounting surface. The container is snap-fitted flushly to a side of the circuit breaker housing. The internal trip mechanism of the circuit breaker and the operative mechanism of the auxiliary device communicate via the drive pin cooperatively linked to each mechanism and operating through the aligned openings in the container and the circuit breaker housing.

  • Patent number: 4968863
Abstract: An assembly frame having first and second frame plates secures the movable parts of a breaker assembly together for ready assembly of the breaker assembly in a housing. A pivot pin supports the trip lever between the frame plates. The movable contact carrying blade has an elongated hole through which the pivot pin passes, the elongated hole forming a floating point for the pivot pin.

  • Patent number: 4912441
Abstract: A circuit breaker consisting of a housing having a fixed contact and a movable contact mounted on a blade which in turn is pivotally supported on a blade carrier that is pivoted within the housing and a handle that cooperates with the blade carrier to pivot the carrier between positions. A trip lever is pivotally mounted in the housing and has biasing means interposed between the blade and the trip lever to pivot the blade between respective positions with latch means holding the trip lever in a position where the blade and blade carrier are biased to close the contacts. The handle and carrier have cooperating camming surfaces that magnify the forces applied to the handle for pivotal movement of the carrier.
