  • Publication number: 20230311138
Abstract: An electrostatic spray nozzle assembly is described that includes an induction ring and a fluid tip. The induction ring generates an electrical field for inducing an electrical charge on droplets of a feedstock liquid from the fluid tip that pass through an opening of the induction ring. The induction ring is electrically coupled to an electrical induction field source via a first conductive path provided by conductive surfaces of: a nozzle head holding the induction ring, and a purge gas tube holding the nozzle head. Feedstock flowing through the fluid tip is electrically coupled to a charge carrier source via a second conductive path provided by at least a conductive surface of a fluid tube coupled to the fluid tip. • Patent number: 11590782
Abstract: Included are embodiments for providing a service station routine. Some embodiments of a system include a service station for receiving a handheld jet dispensing apparatus and a memory component that stores logic. When the logic is executed by a processor, the logic may cause the system to, in response to the service station receiving the handheld jet dispensing apparatus, identify the handheld jet dispensing apparatus, where identifying the handheld jet dispensing apparatus includes determining a time of a previous maintenance to the handheld jet dispensing apparatus. In some embodiments, the logic causes the system to determine whether the time of the previous maintenance meets a predetermined threshold, in response to determining that the time of the previous maintenance meets a predetermined threshold, determine a desired maintenance routine to execute and execute the desired maintenance routine, and record a current time as the time of the previous maintenance.

  • Patent number: 11440045
Abstract: A personalized skin care system that includes a dispensing device, at least one removable cartridge, a single-dose pod, and a mixing element. The removable cartridge contains a sufficient amount of skin care active to make several doses of a personalized skin care composition. The single-use pod contains a sufficient amount of base ingredient to make a single dose of personalized care composition. To provide a personalized skin care composition, one or more personalization factors are inputted into the system. The hermetically-sealed, single-use pod is placed in the dispensing device such that it is in fluid communication with the replaceable cartridge containing the skin care active. The skin care active(s) is transported to the single-dose pod and mixed with the mixing element. However, the mixing element does not come into contact with the ingredients inside the single-use pod. The resulting personalized skin care composition can then be dispensed to a user.

  • Publication number: 20210345758
Abstract: A device for analyzing and treating tonal imperfections on human skin. The device, or apparatus has an applicator comprising a head and one or more nozzles, preferably the nozzles are arranged in an array. The apparatus further has a reservoir comprising a skin treatment composition, a sensor, and a CPU. The sensor takes an image of at least 10 ?m2 of skin. The CPU analyzes the image to calculate a localized L value of individual pixels or group of pixels. The CPU then compares the local L value to a background L value to identify one or more skin deviations, and wherein the sensor is in wireless communication with the CPU, and wherein the CPU is adjacent the sensor or is remotely located. Further, the sensor may be enclosed within an apparatus handle and the CPU is either within the handle or external to the handle. In another embodiment of this invention, there are two or more CPUs and the sensor can be in wireless communication with none, one or more than one CPU.
