  • Publication number: 20180089660
Abstract: The systems and methods disclosed herein provide features that allow a user (e.g., sender) to make anonymous direct person-to-person payments to a recipient (e.g., another user). In some cases, the recipient may be someone that the sender of the payment does not know. Thus, the sender and/or recipient of the payment may wish to obfuscate (e.g., hide, obscure, etc.) at least a portion their respective identities. The sender and/or recipient can configure the system to provide a limited amount (e.g., some, or none) of personal information to the other party to the transaction. When the system processes the transaction, the configured amount of personal information can be shared with each party (e.g., sender, recipient) to the transaction so that each party can maintain a desired level of anonymity.
