  • Publication number: 20200160451
Abstract: A method of establishing a targeted dividend reinvestment plan associated with environmental management projects, and financial securities generated therein. In one embodiment, the method comprises steps of providing a dividend reinvestment plan, identifying at least one environmental management project, generating financial securities (e.g. “green” shares or other financial instruments) associated with the environmental management project(s), receiving a direction from investors participating in the dividend reinvestment plan to invest funds through a purchase by the investor of financial securities associated with the environmental management projects, issuing the financial securities to investors, and allocating the funds to the environmental management project(s).

  • Publication number: 20200116491
Abstract: A terrain-based navigation system include at least three laser range finders, each fixedly mounted to a vehicle body, each pointing in a different direction and arranged such that they can be used to calculate terrain gradient in two dimensions. Existing terrain-based navigation systems for aircraft that use a radar altimeter to determine the distance of the vehicle from the ground make use of the large field of view of the radar altimeter. The first return signal from the radar altimeter may not be from directly below the aircraft, but will be interpreted as being directly below the aircraft, thereby impairing the chances of obtaining a terrain match, or impairing the accuracy of a terrain match. The use of a plurality of laser range finders each fixedly mounted to the vehicle body allows more terrain information to be obtained as the terrain can be detected from the plurality of different directions.

  • Publication number: 20190135478
Abstract: Disclosed are rigid multi-compartment recloseable packages. A package may comprise a rigid tray comprising a product surface to hold food products. The tray may comprise a raised lip along a perimeter of the product surface to laterally secure the food products thereon. The tray may have a tray skirt horizontally extending outward from a top edge of the lip, and dividing features upwardly extending from the product surface to form distinct compartments on the product surface for receiving the food products therein. Furthermore, such an exemplary package also comprises a recloseable rigid lid having an upper surface substantially coextensive with the product surface, and at least one sidewall downwardly extending from the upper surface. The lid may also comprise a lid skirt horizontally extending outward from a bottom edge of the at least one sidewall, where the lid skirt is coextensive and complimentary in shape with the tray skirt.

  • Publication number: 20190135520
Abstract: The disclosed principles provide for a welding technique welding the flanges of a rigid lid sealed onto a rigid tray, such that the two may be easily separated but still repeatedly reclosable such that the rigid package may be reused. For this unique and advantageous ultrasonic welding technique, the disclosed principles provide for the inclusion of a unique delamination layer between the similar rigid materials used for forming the flanges of both the lid and the tray. The disclosed principles provide for the delamination layer to be provide on one or both of the two rigid materials, but behind the seal interphase area so that the hermitic seal may still be created. This delamination layer operates such that it peels apart (i.e., delaminates) as the ultrasonically sealed rigid material of the lid flange and rigid material of the tray flange are pulled apart while opening the package initially.

  • Patent number: 9949136
Abstract: Measurement data collected by a set of femto access points (FAPs) can be utilized, during a network listen procedure, to detect one or more areas with weak macro network coverage and/or high interference. Moreover, an automatic cell planning (ACP) component can be employed to analyze the measurement data and update a transmission parameter(s) associated with a macro access point. After the update is implemented, the ACP component can trigger another network listen procedure at the set of FAPs and receive new measurement data. The ACP component can evaluate the new measurement data to dynamically verify that the implementation of the update resulted in an improvement of macro network coverage and/or interference within the one or more areas.

  • Patent number: 9635563
Abstract: Centrally optimizing femtocells is provided. A scanning component can receive information from femtocells indicating respective operating conditions of the femtocells. Further, an optimization component can categorize the femtocells into groups based on the information, and direct a change of a parameter set of a group of the groups to a femtocell of the group. A method can include receiving, from femtocells, information associated with respective operating conditions of the femtocells; sorting the femtocells into groups based on the information; and directing a change of a parameter set that is associated with a group of the groups to a femtocell of the group. In an example, the method can further include directing a change of a parameter of a macrocell communicatively coupled to a femtocell of the femtocells.

  • Publication number: 20170004507
Abstract: A merchant and a user register with a payment processing system, which establishes a facial template based on a user image. The user signs into a payment application via a user computing device, which receives an identifier from a merchant beacon device to transmit to the payment processing system. The payment processing system transmits facial templates to the merchant point of sale device for the user and for other users who are also signed in to the payment application in range of the merchant beacon device. The merchant POS device determines whether it has a threshold number of facial templates and may request and receive additional facial templates from the payment processing system to meet the threshold. The merchant POS operator selects a facial template corresponding to the user. The merchant POS device transmits transaction details to the payment processing system, which processes a transaction with an issuer system.
