  • Patent number: 4679344
Abstract: A gun sight for a weapon such as a hand gun, rifle, shotgun, submachine gun, crossbow or the like. The sight is a unitary member in the case of a gun mounted on the top of the barrel thereof and having a top surface which is the form of either an elongated ellipse in one embodiment or an isosceles trapezoid in the case of another embodiment. The base portion of the sight is attached to the weapon, the top surface forming a ramp which rises linearly from its rear end towards the muzzle end thereof. The raise of the ramp is equal to the minor axis of the ellipse in the case of the elliptical embodiment and to that of the longer of the two short sides of the trapezoid in the case of the trapezoidal embodiment. The top surface of the sight is made of a color to contrast with the intended target or may be made of a luminescent material or an internally illuminated translucent material so that it is clearly visible in dim light.

  • Patent number: 4605291
Abstract: A pair of mirrors are mounted upon a support frame in front of a cathode ray viewing screen so as to double reflect the images on the screen so that they can be viewed looking downwardly rather than directly at the screen. A support member is provided for the mirrors which enables individual relative adjustment of such mirrors both towards and away from the screen as well as vertically and angularly relative to the screen. This end result is achieved by means of adjustable support rods which fit through elongated slots formed in the support frame as well as elongated slots formed in the mounts for the mirrors. In one embodiment the viewer assembly is supported on top of the CRT assembly with a balancing counterweight being employed to counterbalance the weight of the mirrors and their associated support members. In another embodiment a stand is provided for supporting the viewing aid in front of the screen.

  • Patent number: 4601121
Abstract: A gun sight for a weapon such as a hand gun, rifle, shot gun, submachine gun, etc. The sight is a unitary member mounted on the top of the barrel of the weapon having a top surface in the form of an elongated isosceles triangle, the apex of which is towards the muzzle of the weapon. The base portion of the sight is attached to the weapon, the top surface forming a ramp which rises linearly from its rear end towards the apex of the triangle which is towards the muzzle end. The top surface of the sight is usually made white or some other light color, and can be of a luminescent material so that it is clearly visible in dim light, or the sight may be made of a transparent or translucent material such as a suitable plastic with a small battery operated lamp mounted therein.
