  • Patent number: 5882667
Abstract: A plastic sleeve covering containing an antimicrobial agent to resist or prevent the growth of microbes on the surface thereof, thereby preventing cross-contamination of subsequent users following the use of the item by an infected individual and especially items commonly used, such as writing pens, door handles, push-plate appliances for doors, and flush handles accompanying toilets in public facilities.

  • Patent number: 5695093
Abstract: This invention relates to a container including a plastic bottle having a built in dispensing receptacle inserted into the top of the bottle, and a transfer duct for filling the dispensing receptacle. The transfer duct is separated from the main body of the container by a baffle, and the transfer duct can form a part of the handle of the container. The dispensing receptacle is filled by tipping the container with the transfer duct on the bottom. When the container is turned upright, the excess fluid not contained in the dispensing receptacle will drain back down the transfer duct. To dispense fluid, the closure is removed, container is held by the handle and tipped, and the fluid is poured from the dispensing receptacle, while the baffle prevents additional fluid from being dispensed.

  • Patent number: 4936018
Abstract: Apparatus and method of gauging the "saddle" of a container finish in which a test rig supports a bottle or container at an elevated position so the container can be rotated about the axis of its finish. The container is threaded into a finish ring. The finish ring is accurately supported for rotation in a horizontal plane with the feeler of an indicator engaging the top rim of the container during rotation. 360.degree. rotation in both directions gives maximum and minimum readings that are registered and used to determine the differential or saddle of the container.

  • Patent number: 4680000
Abstract: Apparatus for applying labels in the molds of a plastic blow molding machine of the type wherein a plurality of sets of molds are mounted on a wheel rotatable about a horizontal axis and the molds are moved toward and away from one another to enclose a parison and the parison is then blown to the confines of the cavity between the mold sections which comprises removing labels successively from one or more magazines, depositing the labels on an endless conveyor which transports the labels to a position adjacent an open mold and laterally transferring the labels from the conveyor to a position within the molds such that when a mold closes about a plastic parison and the parison is blown, the labels become adhered to the blown plastic bottle.
