  • Patent number: 6334123
Abstract: A method of relational processing is disclosed where a query of one or more databases of records returns the query result in the form of one or more threads of parallel words. A collection generator generates one or more intermediate vectors of serial bit streams from the one or more threads, and processes the one or more intermediate vectors with a relational processor. The relational processor is operable to perform one or more logical operations thereon in a single pass, and outputs a contiguous serial bit stream.

  • Patent number: 5134564
Abstract: A method of reconciling a first list (a bank statement) formed of a first number of first records and a second list (bank customer's list of records) formed of a second number of second records where the records affect the account balance for the bank statement. For each unmatched record in the first list, a corresponding record from the second list is selected based upon a match value. Whenever the match value exceeds a threshold value, the corresponding records from the first and second lists are paired and thereafter, are removed from further reconciliation processing. The highest match value resulting from comparing record elements and other attributes of records from the first and second lists is determined as a probable match for reconciliation.

  • Patent number: 4725156
Abstract: This invention achieves accurate registration of a web of forms such as preprinted checks in a printer controlled by a computer, without requiring skill on the part of the operator or extra equipment for the printer. The method and apparatus of this invention uses specially marked forms in conjunction with a computer program. The computer program puts indicator information onto the marked form which has been inserted into the printer, receives input from an operator about the location of the indicator information, and moves the form in the printer to the proper location to receive printed information. The method of this invention is for the operator to insert forms into the printer, and then operate a set-up computer program. This program instructs the printer to put a mark on the form on the line to which it is currently set. The computer then instructs the operator to type into the computer the line number on which the mark was just printed.
