  • Publication number: 20090250924
Abstract: The present invention is directed toward an anti-kink support sleeve for flexible hoses such as garden hoses. The construction of the device permits flexation of the hose while preventing the hose from kinking or collapsing in proximity of the support sleeve and most particularly near the hose bib. The anti-kink support sleeve includes a plurality of interconnected section members. Each interconnected section member includes a ball end and a socket end. The socket end being constructed to cooperate with the ball end of an adjacently positioned section to construct a universally swiveling connection having an inner diameter of sufficient size to pass the hose member therethrough. A plurality of sections are interconnected to assemble the anti-kink hose sleeve having a sufficient length to support the desired section(s) of hose.

  • Patent number: 6976649
Abstract: A hose cart combining the features of an off-set handle, to permit any easier retrieval of paid out hose, a hose tracker, to permit hose to be neatly wound onto a reel, and a storage system comprising a protective housing, to provide storage and protection for a hose kept within, is provided. The invention includes the use of a crank to turn a reel which causes paid out hose to be drawn into the protective box onto a reel. The use of a plurality of gears permits the crank to be offset from the center of the reel, such that it is elevated to a more convenient cranking position. Further, the use of gears permits the same movement of the crank, which causes hose to be collected, causes a hose guide to move laterally, along the axis of the reel, such that hose is neatly layered onto the reel.

  • Patent number: 6086073
Abstract: A portable work center includes a molded base panel having a plurality of clamping members, at least one wheel assembly support and at least one support leg in spaced relation to the wheel assembly support. A molded top panel is in spaced, parallel relation to the base panel, and has a plurality of clamping members, each corresponding to a clamping member on the base panel. A pair of opposingly oriented side panels extend between and connect the top and base panels to one another. A rear panel is positioned adjacent and between the side panels and extends between the top and base panels. A pair of pivotal front door panels is disposed in opposing relation to the rear panel and extends substantially between the top and base panels and the side panels. Together, the side panels, rear panel, top panel, base panel and door panels define an internal storage region and four corners. Corner support posts are positioned at each of the corners and extend between the base panel and the top panel.

  • Patent number: RE36588
Abstract: Disclosed is an improved snow shovel having a graphite in-laid polyethylene blade with outwardly propagating reinforced ribs providing a flex resistant blade of minimal thickness. A shaft of the shovel is constructed of a low cost steel pipe covered with a polyethylene sleeve with knurled grip surfaces. The sleeve conforms to the pipe diameter upon application of heat during manufacture. A one-piece handle is attached to the free end the shaft. For storage purposes a cutout is provided on a top edge of each shovel allowing nesting of similarly shaped shovels. A straight blade shovel and a pusher type shovel are two embodiments disclosed herein.
