    Abstract: Methods and apparatus in a fifth-generation wireless communications network, including an example method, in a wireless device, that includes determining a reporting quality threshold for a parameter related to channel state information (CSI); performing a measurement for each of a plurality of beams from a first predetermined set of beams for evaluation; evaluating the measurement for each of the plurality of beams against the reporting quality threshold; discontinuing the performing and evaluating of measurements in response to determining that the reporting quality threshold is met for one of the beams, such that one or more beams in the first predetermined set of beams are not measured and evaluated; and reporting, to the wireless communications network, CSI for the one of the beams.

    Abstract: A graphical user interface for navigating among and selecting from selectable options presented on a display screen. A scrollable menu including a series of panels representing bookmarks and/or bookmark folders representative of the selectable options is displayed in an approximate semi-circular fashion along the bottom and the sides of the display screen. A cursor is displayed overlaid one panel at the bottom of the display screen. The cursor is scrollable through the series of panels through user input. Upon the cursor being scrolled to a panel appearing further up either side of the display screen than the panels at the bottom thereof the indicated panel is pulled down and stopped at the bottom of the display screen and the whole series of panels scrolled along with it. The user interface further provides for selection of the panel indicated by the cursor through user input.

    Abstract: A system and method are provided for allowing a user to perform information management tasks and access the Internet (26). The system includes at least one terminal (20, 21)that is part of a group and capable of wireless communication, an Access Provider (AP) unit (22), an Internet Service Provider (ISP) (24), a server (28) for authenticating the terminal (20, 21), and a global unit (34)for providing the internet address of the server (28) to the terminal (20, 21). The method includes the steps of powering on the terminal (20, 21), establishing a communication link with a gateway to obtain an internet address for the terminal (20, 21) relative to an internet address of the gateway, obtaining an internet address for the server (28), and establishing a shared communication session between the terminal (20, 21) and the server (28) to allow access to information management services.
