  • Patent number: 7823078
Abstract: Methods and apparatus, including computer program products, implementing techniques for business data processing. The techniques include displaying business data on a user interface through which users can view the business data and provide input modifying the business data. The business data comprises a plurality of business objects. The techniques further include receiving one or more first user inputs, each first user input requesting creation of a note and specifying the contents of the note to be created; in response to each of the first user inputs, creating a note and binding the note to one of the business objects; receiving a second user input selecting one of the notes; and in response to the second user input, navigating from the selected note to the business object bound to the selected note.

  • Patent number: 7418628
Abstract: A computer system includes a main system that executes an application in cooperation with a human user. An auxiliary system evaluates problems that occur in the main system. The auxiliary system includes a service module that collects problem related data from the main system, an acquisition module that acquires knowledge representations, a knowledge module that stores knowledge representations, an inference module that processes problem related data with knowledge representations to identify solutions and that forwards the solutions through the service module to the main system. The auxiliary system distinguishes a context of the problems and distinguishes versions of the main system.

  • Patent number: 7260380
Abstract: Methods and apparatus, including computer program products, for storing data for use on a mobile device on a removable storage medium. To access the data, credentials are received from a user of a mobile device. An encrypted set of data is transferred to the mobile device from the removable storage medium, which is in communication with the mobile device, in response to instructions from an application associated with the data. The encrypted set of data is decrypted based on the credentials, and the decrypted set of data is automatically erased from the mobile device. The removable storage medium can be removed from the mobile device, and the encrypted data can be synchronized with a central database using a proxy device.

  • Patent number: 7240327
Abstract: A system for generating software applications for a plurality of heterogeneous computing devices. Each computing device has different capabilities. The system outputs device-specific versions of a software application each tailored to the capabilities of the associated computing device in response to receiving device-independent modeling information characterizing the software application. The system includes a framework, a plurality of object types, a modeling tool, and a plurality of device-specific code generators. The framework defines common services on the computing devices. Each object type has a functional relationship to the common services provided by the framework. The modeling tool defines instances of the plurality of object types based on modeling information received as input, outputting a metadata structure describing the behavior and functionality of a software application.
