    Abstract: The invention relates to an exhaust gas heat exchanger for motor vehicles, comprising a cluster of exhaust pipes (10) which are soldered on the front surface thereof to pipe bottoms, and a housing jacket (3, 3b) which is welded to the pipe bottoms (7). According to the invention, the pipe bottoms are welded to the housing jacket (3b) by means of peripheral welds (11).
