Abstract: The present disclosure relates to a catheter (1) and a method for manufacturing the catheter (1). The catheter (1) comprises a core tube (10) with a lumen (15) extending from a rear end to a front end along an elongation axis (x), a front portion (13) and a rear portion (11). The catheter (1) further comprises a flexible outer layer (20) forming a fluid reservoir (25, 25?) containing a fluid between the flexible outer layer (20) and at least a part of the front portion (13). The flexible outer layer (20) optionally comprises one or more radial eyelet(s) (23) arranged in front of the front portion (13) of the core tube (10) and being in fluid communication with the front opening (14), wherein the flexible outer layer (20) is more flexible than the core tube (10). Optionally, the catheter (1) further comprises a flexible inner layer (20?).
