  • Carbofuran compositions for problem soils

    Abstract: The insecticide carbofuran (2,3-dihydro-2,2-dimethyl-7-benzofuranyl methylcarbamate) is combined with an organophosphorus additive of the formula ##STR1## in which R.sup.1 is C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 alkyl,R.sup.2 is C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 alkyl,R.sup.3 is C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 alkylene,X is oxygen or sulfur, andn is zero or one,for application to soil where previous applications of carbofuran have resulted in successive decreases in the insecticidal activity of carbofuran. The lost activity of the carbofuran is thereby restored.
