  • Publication number: 20130045695
Abstract: A device transmits and receives radio signals, in particular radio signals in a cellular radio network. The device contains a first transmitting antenna for transmitting radio signals and a second receiving antenna. The antennas transmit and/or receive radio signals in different frequency ranges. The antennas are connected to a common cable connection via a radio signal splitter, by which cable connection the device can be connected to a radio terminal. The device contains a first radio signal amplifier disposed in a first radio signal path and/or a second radio signal amplifier disposed in a second radio signal path. The transmitting antenna and the receiving antenna have attenuation with respect to feedback of a radio signal transmitted from the transmitting antenna to the receiving antenna due to the arrangement thereof relative to each other and due to the transmitting and/or receiving characteristics thereof.

  • Patent number: 7995206
Abstract: An apparatus for recognizing objects with a laser light source and a light receiver has an at least partly reflective wall and an interspace between the laser light source and the wall, through which an object can be moved or in which an object can be placed. A movable mirror device is arranged between the laser light source and the wall in such a way that light emitted by the laser light source can be directed onto the wall. In a method for recognizing objects a mirror device directs the light onto an at least partly reflective wall and is controlled in such a way that the wall is irradiated by the light. The light receiver detects the light reflected from the wall and, in the process, registers an object moving or placed between the laser light source and the wall by way of a change in the reflected light detected.

  • Patent number: 7131520
Abstract: An actuator unit for an electro-hydraulic brake system of the ‘brake-by-wire’ type, the first and second pistons thereof being preloaded by a resetting spring each in opposition to the actuating direction. The first pressure chamber of the tandem master cylinder is connected to a hydraulic chamber limited by a simulator element. On the other hand, the simulator element defines a simulator chamber that accommodates a simulator spring and is connected to a pressure fluid reservoir. A valve device is provided to open or close the hydraulic connection between simulator chamber and pressure fluid reservoir. To increase the reliability in operation of a hydraulic fallback mode, at least one channel portion through the pressure chamber, closed at the edge at least in areas, is provided for the purposeful removal of pressure fluid contaminants by means of a compulsory pressure fluid scavenging operation.

  • Publication number: 20050119865
Abstract: The present invention relates to method for the model-based monitoring of a technical system. In a model of the defect-free system which describes the relationship in the defect-free system between an influenced variable y and an input variable u, a measuring inaccuracy for the measuring of y is determined. In a tolerance simulation, at least one model parameter is varied within a prescribed tolerance. In this way it is calculated how large the variation of the influenced variable y that is brought about by the parameter variation is. During the monitoring, the variation over time of the input variable u is fed both to the technical system and to the model. With the aid of the model, a reference variation over time of the influenced variable y is calculated. A narrow tolerance band and a wide tolerance band are placed around the calculated reference variation. If the measured variation over time lies outside the wide tolerance band, the technical system is classified as defective.

  • Publication number: 20040250866
Abstract: A pressure fluid accumulator with a housing having its interior subdivided by a media-separating element into two chambers, the first chamber being filled with a gas and the second chamber being filled with a liquid, and wherein in a hydraulic port a bottom valve is provided which permits filling the second chamber with liquid and prevents complete evacuation of the second chamber, and the valve's closure member is operable by the media-separating element. In order to prevent, especially at low temperatures and high viscosity of the pressure fluid, damage of the media-separating element caused by a high differential pressure, a device is provided between the media-separating element and the bottom valve.

  • Patent number: 6560547
Abstract: A method and system for diagnosing surface imperfections of an article is provided. A data collection system collects data relating to the surface of the article, and a processor operatively coupled to the data collection system analyzes the surface data to determine deviations in the surface corresponding to surface imperfections and pre-made surface interruptions, and distinguishes between the imperfections and interruptions.

  • Patent number: 6195995
Abstract: Hydraulic Brake System with a Device for Active Braking In order to enable a hydraulic brake system which has a self-priming return pump (14) to quickly fill the wheel brakes (5) in an active braking operation, the present invention discloses the provision of a pressure-volume converter (20) on the pressure side of the return pump (14). The converter (20) causes a large pressure fluid volume to be conducted into the brake line (4) to the wheel brake (5) concerned at a small delivery volume of the return pump (14). This is possible because a return pump can generate high pressure and, thus, produce a sufficient amount of force to displace a stepped piston which can then displace a large quantity of pressure fluid. To permit the development of a sufficient back pressure on the pressure side of the return pump (14), a pilot pressure non-return valve (19) is arranged in the pressure line (18) which extends in parallel to the pressure-volume converter (20).

  • Patent number: 4901626
Abstract: The invention relates to a hydraulic power booster, in particular for the actuation of a master cylinder in a hydraulic brake system for motor vehicles. The booster comprises a pressure fluid source, a control device for the control of the pressure level in a booster pressure chamber, an actuating element for the actuation of the control device which actuating element is acted upon by an input force, a converting device for the conversion of the hydraulic pressure into a translatory force which converting device is acted upon by a pressure fluid, and a force transmission element which, preferably is an operating rod for a tandem master cylinder. A semi-rigid force transmission element is arranged in the structure for the transmission of force from the actuating element to the force transmission element in order to obtain a two-stage effect.
