Abstract: Disclosed is a method in which a hash value and a first piece of information are obtained from a second device. The hash value is associated with a compartment of the compartment system, and the first piece of information is associated with a first device. Further, a second piece of information is obtained from the first device. Based on the first piece of information and the hash value, it is determined whether the second piece of information authorizes access to one or more compartments of the compartment system. Three associated methods, one executed by a first device, one executed by a second device, and one executed by a mobile device, are also disclosed. In addition, corresponding devices, systems, and computer programs for the respective execution and/or control of one or more of the disclosed methods are disclosed.

The first information is used to determine a first mode of communication for transferring access information to a box installation. Using the first information, the first mode of communication for transferring the access information to the box installation is determined. The access information is transferred to the box installation using the first mode of communication in order to obtain access to the box installation. Further, apparatuses and computer programs that are able to control and/or perform the respective methods are disclosed.

Abstract: A method comprising performing a process for authenticating a user of a compartment installation vis-à-vis a backend system managing the compartment installation. A necessary condition for performing the process for authenticating the user is that a proximity check has revealed that a mobile device of the user is situated at the location of the compartment installation, and/or that an occupancy check has revealed that the compartment installation contains at least one shipment assigned to the user. A corresponding apparatus, a corresponding system and a corresponding computer program are furthermore disclosed.
