  • Publication number: 20070199647
Abstract: An insulating label stock including a thermal insulating layer, which may be a fiberfill batt, is provided. The batt is laminated to at least one layer of film, paper, or fabric. Also provided is a method of making insulating label stock. The insulating label stock may be wrapped around a container, such as a can, bottle, or pouch. Further, the insulating label stock may be coated with a coating material so that it is printable, thus imparting both insulating properties and print capability to a container.

  • Publication number: 20070141926
Abstract: A method for making an elastic fabric with the steps of providing a hydroentangled precursor fabric having at least 1% by weight of binder fibers, heating the precursor fabric to a temperature above the melting point of the binder fibers and then drawing the precursor fabric in the machine direction at a ratio sufficient to reduce the width by more than 20% and at a strain rate of 10 to 800% per minute to produce an elastic fabric having a cross-directional extensibility of about 100% up to 500% and a 30-95% recovery under a 50% extension.

  • Publication number: 20060211323
Abstract: A nonwoven fabric having abrasion resistance and absorbency suitable for cleaning printer cylinders, especially textured or rough printer cylinders, is formed by hydroentangling a fibrous nonwoven web formed from higher-melting polyester base fibers and lower-melting binder fibers, and then thermally bonding the fabric.
