Abstract: A heat exchanger, especially a heat exchanger for a motor vehicle, is provided that includes a plurality of tubes, at least one collecting tube with a wall and openings in the wall, supports protruding from the wall in the axial direction of the openings being formed at the openings. Wherein the tubes in the region of one end of the tubes are disposed partly at the supports and a fluid-tight connection exists between the supports and the tubes, so that a fluid can be passed through the tubes and the at least one collecting tube, and at least one inlet opening for passing the fluid in and at least one outlet opening for passing the fluid out. The mechanicals stability between the tubes and the at least one collecting tube is to be improved. This objective is accomplished owing to the fact that the thickness of the supports is less than the thickness of the wall, especially in the region of the openings of the collecting tube.

Abstract: The invention relates to a heat exchanger having a multiplicity of heat-exchanger tubes in which a fluid, such as a coolant, can flow, and whose ends are held in collecting tanks. At least two collecting volumes which are separated from one another by an insert are arranged at least in one collecting tank. A separating cut which separates the insert and therefore also the collecting tank is formed in the heat exchanger.

Abstract: The invention relates to a container, in particular a collection chamber of a heat exchanger, comprising an opening (2), in which a connection (5) is mounted. To simplify the installation of the connection, the latter (5) has a deformable connection edge region (10) on the edge facing the container (1), said edge region protruding into the container (1) prior to the deformation process and after the deformation lying at least partially against the interior of the container opening (2).

Abstract: A heat exchanger, particularly with an integrated oil heat exchanger, has screw-in connectors. Each connector is secured to the exchanger using a retaining ring, which has finger forming projections. The heat exchanger has an annular collar with circumferentially spaced teeth on its inner circle. The fingers engage the teeth. The fingers and the teeth are arranged to prevent the connector from being unintentionally unscrewed or loosened by virtue of the connector being secured by the retaining ring.
