  • Publication number: 20060279889
Abstract: A video system including a circuit for automatically correcting reversed polarity in a polarity sensitive system. The system includes a video camera, a camera controller for controlling the video camera, a transmission medium for communicating a polarity sensitive signal between the video camera and the camera controller, and a polarity correction circuit configured to detect an incorrect polarity in the polarity sensitive signal. The polarity correction circuit includes a polarity controller to provide an inversion signal in response to incorrect polarity, and an inversion circuit which inverts the incorrect polarity in response to the inversion signal. In another aspect of the invention, the video system is configured to automatically correct the reversal of transmit and receive wires.

  • Publication number: 20050185053
Abstract: A system and method for monitoring moving objects in a video system. The system includes at least one video camera; and at least one motion detector. The motion detector may include a lens having a field of view fixedly directed to an area of interest, and an imager for receiving an image through the lens and converting the image to video data. The motion detector may be configured to monitor the video data for movement of an object in the field of view and provide a detector output in response to the movement of the object. The detector output may be configured to cause adjustment of at least one operating characteristic of the video camera to target the camera on the object. A motion detector and methods of monitoring a multiplicity of moving objects are also provided.

  • Publication number: 20050058360
Abstract: An imaging system produces undistorted image data from buffered wide-angle image data without the need for a separate output buffer. Wide-angle image data is transformed, on a pixel-by-pixel basis, as the data for a pixel is required for encoding, to produce output signals in real-time. Predetermined values for functions used in the transformation process are obtained from one or more look-up tables to facilitate transformation.
