  • Patent number: 11957921
Abstract: Disclosed herein is a delivery system for delivering a leadless pacemaker. The delivery system may include a catheter, which may be a guide catheter. The catheter includes a distal end, a proximal end opposite the distal end, a lumen extending between the distal end and the proximal end, and a locking hub operably coupled to the proximal end. The locking hub includes a lumen segment of the lumen. In one implementation, self-biasing of the lumen segment places the lumen segment out of alignment with a rest of the lumen. Deflecting the lumen segment against the self-biasing of the lumen segment places the lumen segment in coaxial alignment with the rest of the lumen. In another implementation, self-biasing of the lumen segment reduces an inner diameter of the lumen segment and actuation of the locking hub expands the inner diameter.

  • Patent number: 7195617
Abstract: A collection device for collecting material during a surgical procedure includes a collection chamber defined by an encompassing wall and having an opening sufficient for permitting collection of the material during the surgical procedure. A wicking material is positioned outside the collection chamber and is in fluid association therewith sufficient to wick fluid from within the collection chamber. The device also includes a scoop wall extending from the collection chamber and having a distal end portion for positioning proximate a source of the material and for guiding the material to the collection chamber wherein the scoop wall includes curved sidewall portions that are separated from the encompassing wall such that the scoop wall is bendable with respect to the chamber.

  • Publication number: 20040167529
Abstract: The present invention includes a collection device for collecting material during a surgical procedure. In one aspect, the collection device includes a collection chamber having an opening sufficient for permitting collection of the material during the surgical procedure and a scoop wall extending from the encompassing wall, the scoop wall having a distal end portion for positioning proximate a source of the material and for guiding the material to the collection chamber. In another aspect of the invention, the collection chamber has at least one aperture within the collection chamber of a size to permit flow of fluid from the chamber when the collected material is contained within the chamber. Fluid may also be poured out of the chamber without the collected material following the fluid thereby retaining the collected material within the chamber.
